On May 16th of 2002, about 125 magicians from all over the U.S. met in Tucson, Arizona to get together and have fun. The event was the beginning of three magical days filled with some of the best magic lectures and shows ever assembled in the Southwest. Just to give you an idea, let me take you back for a quick glimpse…
The lecturers included Michael Ammar, Dan Harlan, Bob Kohler, Geoff Williams, and Vito Lupo. The Close Up Show featured John Shryock, Bob Kohler, Michael Ammar, Dan Harlan, and Lanny Kibbey. The Gala Show was a line up not soon to be forgotten, starring Charles Bach, Greg Frewin, Vito Lupo, Mike Michaels and The Fabulous Valentis. It was directed by David Sandy and hosted by Kerry Pollock. And, in between all of the excitement there were Dealers, Mixers and Panel Discussions full of information straight from the pros themselves. The Panel Discussions covered topics from “The Art of Magic,” “The Magic of Stagecraft,” “Tales from the Road,” “Marketing and Living through Magic,” and “Creativity in Magic.” These, alone, were worth the price of admission.
